FS/FT: Kronbauer Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with LR Baggs Imi
Kronbauer Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with LR Baggs Imix Pick Up System.
Has had professional setup and pickup installation by Norris Guitars (http://norrisguitars.ca/home.cfm). For more info on Kronbauer guitars, check out the website www.kronbauerguitars.com Asking $1500 with buyer paying shipping fees. Alternatively, would be willing to trade on a different high end acoustic as have too many dreadnought style guitars. In particular I'm looking for an acoustic guitar similar to a Taylor 714CE or Larrivee C-10, Martin D35, etc and would be willing to add cash for the "right" guitar. Please note that I'm located in Peachland, BC, Canada. Feel free to email with any questions. For photos - see the add hyperlink below or alternatively I can send photos via email. http://kelowna.en.craigslist.ca/msg/2935088118.html Last edited by peachlander77; 04-01-2012 at 07:07 PM. |

This is an interesting looking guitar, very different headstock from the other Kronbauer's I've seen or can see on the website. How old is it?
Also, can you provide details about the type of wood—it looks like a Sitka top and Mahogany back and side? Thanks

Hi there,
I talked with Trevor Kronbauer yesterday. He confirmed that this particular guitar was made in 2008. It has Honduran Rosewood back and sides with sitka spruce top. One Piece Mahogany neck with Ebony fretboard and bridge with abalone star inlays. It has herringbone purfling and Indian Rosewood binding. It has a bound headstock and as part of the custom order this is the only guitar where he simply wrote his name as compared to his standard “K” Inlay Logo. It has a 25 ½” scale length and the string spacing at the saddle is 2 ¼ inches. Fingerboard at Nut: 1 ¾ inches. |

I didn't know Kronbauer built a dreadnought. The model is not even listed in his website. Is this a one-off build?

This was a custom order and I haven't seen another guitar like this one. Also, in talking with Trevor he indicated that he went out of his way with this one as the customer changed their mind about the headstock veneer towards the end of the build process. He went out of his way to keep the customer happy and changed things up so that this is the one and only Kronbauer you will find with his actual signature in place of the "K" inlay logo. He figures over time this will add value to this guitar as it's the one and only guitar he's made that bears his actual signature in the headstock.
