Default What strings for 2 humbuckers plus piezo on same guitar

What strings to use on a Carvin SH575 that has two humbuckers plus a piezo bridge for acoustic tones? Just got the guitar and its the first like this that I have owned. Just getting to know it and I need strings that the electric humbuckers will pick up as well as the piezo. How about Monels or Pure Nickle.

Any electric guitar strings will do. A wound 3rd strings helps with the piezo

It is an electric guitar like any other but Carvin added a piezo pickup at the bridge, similar to the Element pickup. There are some strings that accomodate both and are double wound, one is to facilitate the humbuckers picking up electrical signal from the strings and the other wind is for the piezo, or acoustic, pickup. I don't fully understand this though so pardon my lack of knowledge.
I would appreciate any help on what strings to use. Thanks

Martin Retro Monels - available in gauges from 10-47 to 13-56, these were the acoustic strings of the 1920's-1930's and, due to their magnetic properties, used on the first electric guitars before the development of flatwound (and later pure nickel) strings; FYI they have slightly more tension gauge-for-gauge than their more common counterparts (with a paradoxically faster, "slinkier" feel), so you shouldn't have any problem obtaining a hot enough signal to drive either the electric or UST pickups - I've been using them successfully on both my Rainsongs (factory LR Baggs UST's on both) for a couple years, and some of the jazz guys around here use them on their electric archtops as well...

You can try DR Zebras, which alternate nickel and bronze windings on the wound strings.

+1. Used to use these on my Taylor T-5 guitars.

Thanks for these good ideas for strings. I will try all of them and see what works for my ears.
