Default On to the Soundboard

With the back and sides finished, I can turn my attention to the soundboard which Matt hand picked from my stash and it took him about a half a day. But he settled on German Spruce.
The color theme for this guitar will be turquoise blue so I made up some custom purfling from dyed veneer from B and B Rare woods. I then made a mosaic type of rosette using scraps of Brazilian and Cocobolo along with white purfling as well as the custom purfling. These scraps are super glued to a piece of cardboard and a ring is routed using a circle cutter. The ring is then removed and glued into the soundboard channel with an inner and outer custom purfling of Black/Turquoise/Black

The rosette and end graft are really pretty. Nice look all around.

Just wanted to say, your redwood and walnut 13-fret they have at North American Guitar is one of the loveliest guitars I've ever heard. It's so incredibly clean and broad sounding.

The YouTube algorithm fed the demo to me after listening to some Lindsay Straw:

Just out of curiosity, was the 13th fret join more about the body size, or something to do with the wood combo in this case?
