Default NGD : Gibson J45

Done it again [emoji849]

Had been missing my 2005 J45 so had been looking for another when this 2017 popped up used at a very tempting price. Got it yesterday and have to say it’s a cracker, impeccably built, none of the inconsistencies that can be seen on some of these. It’s had a set up and is spot on for me, would like to swap the nut out (OCD, can’t get on with black nuts on guitars) and the edges are quite sharp.

Feels great to play and sounds great, a bit newer than I’d prefer so will just have to play the socks off it.

So they'll sound right . . .

Just kidding, Gibbies are my favorites and I have several, including a J-45.

The opportunity was too good to pass up!

I know what you mean. When you like the tone, you like it and you have obviously found yours. You also have the prettiest guitars of the big three IMHO.

Gibson slope shoulder guitars are one of the more attractive shapes around. ENjoy breaking it in!
Oh, try some GHS (I have the Mediums) Vintage Bronze - once those strings settle in a bit, they last forever and the tone on a mahogany slope is the best.
