just a Boss TU2 tuner (though I did just get a Polytune Mii recently, maybe that one?), a Hall of Fame reverb pedal and maybe a Boss CE-5 chorus pedal if any songs need it. pretty minimum.

I'm still playing around with mine, but this is what I came up with yesterday.
I have a Cali76 coming that will replace the DOD 280. They are currently on a Pedaltrain Mini and powered by a volto. |

Well I use my effects sparingly & as full-time solo guy I like to phaten up the sound a bit thus the Carbon Copy. I've used other delays and there is even one on the Loudbox Performer, but the digital types are ok for vox but I prefer analog for guitar...so I found the MXR CC very warm, easy to dial in a nice delay. It can do the crazy Pink Floyd stuff too, but I set it with no regeneration, 50% mix and just enough delay to add depth to chording; and for this it is very effective and sounds great; especially for my reggae style. I like MXR's rugged case, quiet/true bypass switch and the added modulation feature is nice for certain songs if you want a chorus-like effect without sounding too chorusy if that makes sense. The only thing is with the modulation feature, you have to open the bottom case plate to adjust the two small sweep/time screws. For more spacey/airy sounding stuff/soloing I use the Seraphim, which I love. So if my description fits what you are trying to achieve, the Carbon Copy will serve you well, it's a proven piece I really like. Here's lil' live clip of some reggae rhythm with a lil' riff in middle where you can hear the slight delay in both chording and riff/harmonics. No reverb jus' Carbon Copy delay & I'm using Fishman Performer's digital delay for my vox, again no reverb...hope this helps & you don't have to login to play video. https://www.facebook.com/eric.alabis...6101650952691/ Signal path: Takamine > wireless > Carbon Copy > Fishman amp DONE! Cheers Kev, eric

ACOUSTIC PEDALBOARDS - Post yours!!
I'm cheating. But this is what I'm using now for acoustic and electric. I've been playing music for audiences for 25 years and this is the first year I've ever tried to use effects systems. I'm happy with the results thus far for electric guitar, vocals and acoustic guitar. Though, truth be told, I don't know how crucial it really is for my acoustic with the K&K pickup. But it adds some ambiance and keeps things clean.

Hi,
the Zoom includes a D.I. and a tuner and reverb. Why do you add these pedals? cu erniecaster

So as I said I am newly back into electric and thus pedals
But here are some pics of my work in progress pedal board that I made originally as a floor stand for my Trace Acoustic amp (long gone ). It originally had a second set of upper wings and another cross piece so the amp could angle up. Looked like this, this pic it's in it's second life as my mic case stand So I just cut off one cross piece and that set of wings, then put in the board for the pedals to mount on. (Like the idea of recycling it ) So far I have a Boss tuner (I have used for years in my acoustic gig system) I just acquired this limited run Soul Driven boost Allen Hinds version from Xotic I will be adding an MRX Carbon Copy and a Boss RC3 Loop Station and power supply. Now in 3rd life function

In the order of your questions: 1. For some reason, the DI on my Zoom is far too loud into the PA I plug into at church (and I have no access to its controls) and when I go from the PRO DI I have a "normal" output and it is the BEST DI I've ever used. 2. The TU-3 tuner is a much more accurate tuner and I also use it for for muting 3. I prefer the sound of the HOF mini reverb more than the Zoom's reverbs. I use the Zoom mostly for the acoustic modeling feature and some of the other "pedals" it contains. Best, PJ |

Hi,
thanks! The good old thing - a "all in one"-solution won´t do it all. cu erniecaster
