Great story and great legacy instrument.

May you get as many years of enjoyment as he did!

That is one cool guitar. Sorry for the health issues that his smoking caused. Glad the guitar is in the hands of someone who will treasure it.

Congratulations, man. Great story.

If and when I get to the stage where I stop playing, I’d gladly bequeath my toys to a member of the younger generation. No such person in my life so far, alas.

Just a really great human story that just happens to revolve around a guitar! We tie memories to things and events. Every time you think of that guitar, play it, etc. I think there will be times when you just hold it, think of it's previous owner, and tear up, unable to play. The guitar is a treasure, the man is the legend

Beautiful story and tribute to Don. You are obviously the right person for that guitar to be passed on to...plus it's got major mojo!

Don’s gift to you is also a gift to himself. Knowing you will cherish and play it, you and the guitar will be on his mind...he will be able to live vicariously through you.

What a great story and something you’ll cherish all your days. That guitar has most certainly been reliced and filled with Mojo the proper way.
Oh the stories it could tell ...........enjoy my friend!
