I would find the skysonic a bit more appealing if the mic and mag had separate volume controls.

Oh , as in it’s not a cross over mix? How is it different from say sd magmic?

Never had the pleasure of trying The Magmic. But the only truly 3 source production pick up that I knew of that had 3 separate channels of EQ and volume, one for each source, was a K&K powermix Trinity. It is now discontinued, but It had the mini SBD, the Fantastick UST, and a mic, all running through an onboard 3 channel pre, summed up to one output. Here’s an old link for the system

Some might say it was a bit to much stuff to be putting in a guitar, hence why it might have been discontinued, but I had it in a guitar and it was the most amazing sounding pick up I ever heard. Sold the guitar and should have removed the pick up.
