Default Giant acoustic guitars down on mexico

Anyone ever played one of those over size guitars they play down in mexico? What are they called? And no wise answers allowed haha

On my one visit over the Texan border to Ojinaga, a new friend arranged for a local trio to serenade us as we walked out of our lunch venue.
Those Guitarrons really sound out -gut strung I believe.

Must be uncomfortable to play.
