Default Jim Worland Jumbo new to me

Edit: Jim Worland Jumbo. it was love at first strum, and the previous owner must've loved it too as it has its share of dings and mojo. The price WAY too good to say no.
My question...what wood do you think is the body is? Mahogany? Or plain Jane Koa? Or something else?
The top is red cedar.
The volume and balance is spectacular.

Smile Looks like rosewood to me

Welcome to the Candy Store. Nice way to introduce yourself!

Some kind of rosewood? Looks quite like a couple Honduran Rosewood git’s I once owned…

Cedar top?

I am interested to hear what others think.

Glad you like it! Cool understated look.

Paul

Thanks! I dont know why the beginning of my post disappeared, i edted it to make a bit more sense Honduran Rosewood! I think you're correct. He does use that as a body wood option. Inside, it's darker than the finished outside. It looks like Rosewood on the inside.
I've owned other cedar/rosewood guitars and always loved the tone of that combo.

Nice to see Jim Worland getting a bit of a shout out. He's one of the "deans" of American guitar making, been making excellent guitars for a long, long time but has operated pretty much under the radar, as it were. I have two Worland OMs, built in the mid 1990s, and both are incredible guitars, still playing perfectly after all these years and sounding just magnificent.
