Another Iconic music Venue Closes it’s Doors
One of the great places to hear singer songwriters strut their stuff is packing it up. I use to hang out at the Cornelia Street Cafe back in the day for the exchange as well as so many other events.

Very sad. I moved to New York just after CBGBs closed and right before the original Yankee Stadium moved.
I was aware of Cornelia St. Cafe but never managed to make it there, much as I love the Village. One of the great things about a city like NYC is that there will always be classic, historic places to go, and things to do to take the place of a loss such as this. But I know an awful lot of people got their start there. Change is a double edged sword.

Thats a shame
I spent 18 months in NYC in 2001-2003 I don't think I made it to Cornelia St. But frequented and even played a few places on or near Bleecker St
