Default OnSong app

A few days ago I was reading thru a recent post about iPads and different apps for playing live. Thanks to links that were provided in the posts I got curious about how they work and things like the difficulties involved in this method....

I narrowed it down to Onsong, but had questions. I emailed them and during the course of the day I got 4 emails back letting me know that persons like myself that do not function well in society could use this system. Took about two hours to download 115 songs and make changes to some of them! That includes the learning of basics in the app. I should be able to load a few hundred more by tomorrow.

I need to get out more. I had no idea this particular set up could be this simple. All my songs, any notes I care to write, transposing chords, chord descriptions, colors.......wow! I will still print paper copies as a back up, but this is going to be one of the best tools I have (after a guitar of course).

Thanks for the help....again.

I’ve been using Onsong app for over 5 years and have never had a need for paper backup. Great app! Just make sure your IPad is charged lol.

Do you have online access to chord charts for lots of songs or does this app just let you type up lyrics/chord charts?

I use Dropbox to back up my Onsong, no need to print back up copies

I back up the entire file and also created a folder where I have uploaded each of my 500+ songs from Onsong, so I have individual files of each one. I also have Onsong on my iPhone so, that's another back up.

Paper, who needs it.....

So is this the easiest app for my needs?
I just want to type my lyrics in WORD (in Windows 10), then easily add chords above the lyrics (tedious in WORD), and then save to the iPad. I don't need fancy features, just simplicity. I was bummed to see that there wasn't a free trial.
Thx
