Newbie interface and studio monitors
I’m about six months in, taking guitar lessons and loving it. Today I picked up a couple cyber Monday deals and am hoping I didn’t make a poor decision. The prices seemed good but I’d be interested in some opinions/ feedback.
I bought two JBL 305p mkII studio monitors ($89.00 each)and a Steinberg UR22 mkII interface ($99.00). I want to play to backtracks and eventually add a few pieces of equipment and record.

You've done good. Those monitors are well regarded and I am quite happy with the Steinberg UR242 interface that I have been using for a few years.

Good start, but note one thing about the JBLs: rear-facing bass port. Ideal placement will be 2-3 feet from the front wall, not near a corner. If you are like many of us, with limited space, you may need to place bass traps (4" thick rockwool or compressed fiberglass panels) behind them so that you don't get a false bass response when mixing.
