Pickup for vintage Martins
Check this video out. Bryan Sutton has one of his vintage Martins here on stage with Billy. He's plugged in....Any of you Bryan Sutton fans know what his pickup/preamp rig is? Just curious as many are on the quest for the perfect sounding live rig....Thanks

At 5:12 he appears to have a mic peaking a bit beyond the bottom of the soundhole. Hence the wire coming out of the endpin jack. And throughout the video it also looks like he has a wireless mic positioned near the neck/body joint.
His picking and strumming efficiency are certainly on display here. No needless flailing around. The other guy also has a soundhole mic, maybe a blend system. |

We are not only hearing the guitar and pick up, there is very likely some processing going on.
It would be hard to duplicate his sound with just a pick up through an amp. It does sound good though.
