Default Cheating or Enhancing?

As a side issue to the recent debate on music stands and songbooks in performance, how does the forum feel about solo guitarists using backing tracks or drum machines in their shows. Personally, if it's just music for background, I think backing tracks are ok, especially if the guitarist adds his/her own twist to the song. A well programmed drum machine at a low volume, I feel is a subtle way to add a little drive to a solo piece. Of course this depends on the style of the piece. So for me at least, they are both valid when used tastefully.

Cheers

I don't have a problem with that if it sounds like music to my ear.
