Simon & Garfunkel, 1966 on the Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme album.
I always loved this tune... Paul Simon wrote it and played a wonderful 12 string background whilst Art Garfunkel sang it live here.....

Dave, I agree it's melancholy for me too. I gravitate towards those tunes for some reason. I tried at first to do the crescendo build-up ending with my arrangement, but it wasn't working, so I went with a more mellow approach. Thanks so much for listening and for your comments.

I've always thought that line was so visually evocative.
