Hey guy named Jeff…
First of all, hello & welcome to the forum! You need to go play guitars and have enough money in your pocket to buy it and take it home after you find it. Better yet take along a friend who plays as good as you (and similar style) so you can play for each other. We cannot tell you what will sound best with you playing a guitar having not heard you (even if we did hear you). That’s your job to work through. |

Interesting I’ve heard Alvarez get brought up a few times. They’ve definitely impressed me. |

@ljguitar
Thanks for the welcome. You make a good point of bringing a friend who can play. It seems like the Grand Auditorium and Concert sized body styles are getting the best response to my style of playing from others. Gonna go play some this evening at the Mecca of local shops in a bit to just play. I’ll get back to y’all with my thoughts. |

I played the Martin SC 13E recently, and while its way more money, it played like an electric player's dream. I could not believe it was a ply guitar. Looked stunning too. Have not played the SC 10. Rich low end. A Taylor lovers' Martin for sure.

Welcome to the AGF. You will like it here...lots of great friendly folks with loads of experience and knowledge that they are willing to share.
If you can find one, try out a Taylor 210. Great full dreadnought tone. Not overly mid or high tone wise. Quite balanced. Good luck in your quest...enjoy the ride
