Again great job on a classic. I love the chord changes on this one.

Hi Stratcat77,
I am so glad to hear that this classic was one of your regular setlist, and that you like this version.
I actually had to design some chords substitution progression for my adlib, which worked for me. I am sure you will be great on a solo performance, and excited to hear it.
Regards,
Rene

Hi Glenn,
I had to lower the key, to fit my vocal range, and it worked well for me.
Thank you for the wonderful comments, as always, Glenn.
Respectfully,
Rene

I learned it in A many years ago. Im wondering if my voice may fit better a whole step down? I need to sing along with your video!
Thank you for sharing Rene, you never disappoint!

Hi Frank,
I have to confess, on top of the whole step down on my chords, the guitar I am using is tuned half step down to Eb.
So I am 3 frets (1.5 step down) down from the original "A" chord.
It fits me better.
You might want to try a lower key.
I am sure your version would be great, excited to hear it.
Respectfully,
Rene

So Rene,
I did a sing-a-long with your version, a step and a half down from the original, and found it too low for my limited range. So in “A” it will stay.

I think my brother Tony is going to ask me to do a song or two at my nephew’s wedding this weekend, and if that is in fact the case, I will do this number.

Personally, I am supremely aware of the love being professed throughout this song, but at a wedding I think it prudent a short explanation of what it’s really about should intro the song. No one wants to hear “I’m not in love” at a wedding!!!

And just to be on the safe side I will follow it up with that great acoustic version of Prince’s “I Feel For You” that Chaka Khan had such a hit with.
Stay well,
frank d.

Hi Frank,
The explanation for this song, on a wedding, is much appropriate! I usually sing songs on par with original recordings, but I had to lower chords on this particular tune. I will have to study "I Feel For You", I am not familiar with this song, but I love your choices.
I am sure you will do very well, good luck!
Extend my regards to the newly wed, and to your family!
Respectfully,
Rene

Bob Womack, from your description it sounds like 10CC turned the human voice into a Mellotron of sorts. Intriguing. That would be fun to try in a DAW.

That was awesome, Rene. Your voice was smooth and mellow as always, and the guitar work was stellar.
