Default NGD Gibson 50's J-45

I've had a hankering for a J-45 for a while. So I jumped on this when it came up on my local Craigslist for a very fair price.

The seller had this and a Slash J-45 for sale. I played them both and for me this was the winner.

The neck is nice and full and the tone is big. It's only a few months old so I'm looking forward to breaking it in. As for looks, I like the black and the contrast of the aged white binding. It does pick up fingerprints, though

I have a reissue of a 50s J 50. It’s gotten to be the guitar I reach for the most. Enjoy.

Yeah, black looks sharp but sure does splotch. I had a beautiful gloss black tele. It never looked clean.

Yep. Had a black Ovation back when Ovations were popular. I swore I'd never own another black guitar, and haven't.

Very nice. Congrats!

I've got the 'burst version. I've had it for about a year and half. I love it. Huge sounding guitar.

I'm guessing the black is original? Looks great.

Ebony. Striking. Get yourself a polishing cloth and the smudges won't build up. Buy some Gibson Guitar Polish:

Love the Workhorse!

There are more important things than a pristine top on your guitar. I’ll bet it sounds killer and that, to me, is top priority. Play it and enjoy. I stopped worrying about fingerprints on my J45 sunburst a long time ago.
