You may have found one the few Brazilian Rosewood FG300
If you get it take it to the best luthier in your area
It may be a bit pricier but it all depends if you want to buy it to actually play and use or if you will buy it for re-sell purposes or as a collector

If you buy it and want to sell it later on
Ill be more than happy to buy it from you
It sounded amazing

Best of luck in your decision

Thanks, so just to confirm, you mean the one with saddle changed?

I am thinking the original saddle probably has a big effect on tone as people say, and even if I was to buy that one, I might end up wanting to change it which would cost hundreds, so I may as well go for this one...not to mention it sounds great!

I probably will never sell it as even though its not the one my dad gave me, it will take its place! So it has sentimental value already

I worry a little about this bulge behind the bridge, any thoughts on that? From a little reading online it seems its not unusual for this to happen with old guitars and is usually not an issue

Yea I ment the one with the bone saddle
It sounds amazing
Just find a really good luthier or tech
To work on it and you should be good
A good luthier should be able to help you out

Just seek out the best with the best reputation
Even if it cost a little more

Thanks, yeah I'm going in the morning to have a bit more time with it, but for £500 I think its good.

I don't actually think it needs any setting up, it felt good. But I would like a luthier to check it over perhaps

thanks again for all the help

850 (even less) gives you an new all solid indian rosewood alvarez dread (I have the hog version). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIDPwO2KPnc

I was young in the 70s and we all had Japanese guitars. They were great compared to what was available before the jap invasion but not anywhere near what is available today. Just saying. And there is also an yamaha Ll16 that you may find. Just saying.

I really like old Suzukis but there is a limit to what I would pay.

Thanks I paid 500 in the end, and it was more of a sentimental thing! I'm sure there are better guitars for the price
