Martin Dan Tyminski Signature D-28 #101
Still Available 4/28/2017
Now on Reverb: http://rvrb.io/2011-dan-tyminski-ihu I've finally made the decision that it's time to move this guitar on. I am the original owner. It is such a great guitar, but I have not been able to get use to the 1 11/16" nut. If it had a 1 3/4" it would be going no where. This one has little signs of play on it. Absolutely no fret wear. No dings, dents, scratches or cracks. Very minor pick scuffs on the pickguard. It has always been properly humidified. This guitar was developed as a copy of Dan's 1946 D-28. The neck was modeled after it, and it has a great modified "modified V" shape to it. Adirondack Spruce Top, Indian Rosewood Back & Sides. I bought a Case Notes leather journal for this guitar at the time I bought it. It's a log for the guitar where you can add repair work, and has a history of the owners. I also have the original packing list and the label from the shipping box included in the Case Notes also. Martin also made me 2 additional compensated Bone nuts for this guitar. They are different heights. The standard Martin has their factory spec action, another that is slightly higher, and a third that is lower. I had them made so depending on what I was doing I could make quick adjustments. Right now (4/28/2017) I have this setup with Light Gauge strings and the "low" saddle. This saddle is set at 5/64" & 3/64" at the 12th fret, same as a Taylor. I also have a custom Elliot Capo that I had made for it. I will be selling that as well, if you are interested in the guitar and capo let me know and we can work something out. Last one I saw sell on ebay sold for $3500. I'll price mine at $3650, that includes the Elliot Capo, CaseNotes book, extra bone saddles and Paypal and Shipping fees. If you do not want the Elliot Capo let me know and I'd adjust the price. Let me know if you have any questions! Last edited by AronW; 04-28-2017 at 09:15 AM. Reason: Added photo of capo, book & saddles. |

Great guitar..
Dan's original guitar has a great story. If you find it on you tube watch it. Best I remember his guitar started life as a straight braced D-28 and was scalloped by someone later. I played one of these a few years ago and it's one of the Martins I'd love to own. These are special. Good luck with your sale!

Some nice trade offers. Only way I'd trade is if the guitar was perfect for me and included cash.
