Fishman Rare Earth Blend - low signal thread II

I’ve had this installed in my rainsong recently and have matched it with the Baggs Para DI and the new Red Eye Twin, and several other DI/Preamps. To get the volume to normal audience levels we are having to turn the gain up as high as it can go… on the Baggs!?

I’ve tried different sound systems, different cables, different input channels, but the result is the same each time.

I’ve seen several other threads about this and think there must be something that happens with these pick ups to make sense of our collective experiences.

Having pointed out the problem I’m having, I’ll say that I love the sound of the pick up when I can hear it.

Any thoughts?
