Default Banks of the Bann - Martin Simpson

Hi all

Another Martin Simpson tune here as we head towards the festive season - I always knew this as a hymn so when I came across it in it's traditional form I thought I would have a go at it.

I found it quite a challenge and ended up recording it at a sightly slower tempo than Martin plays it.

Recorded into my Line Audio CM4's in a spaced pair array and then some tweaking to EQ and a little reverb added in Reaper.

I hope you like it :-)

Very nicely done, I like the slower tempo. Martin's arrangement of this tune is tops. The CM4's sound really good for a very inexpensive mic.

Thanks Mesa, these are really good little mics - very pleased with them.

Another one “out of the park” Peter. I like the slower tempo, it allows breath and space to a beautiful arrangement..
