his creation!

Spec's for the Stehr GA:

Abalone rosette
No inlay in fretboard, small abalone side dots
Ebony bound ziricote headplate w/sapwood, no inlay. With W/B/W purfling
Ebony bound mahogany/maple neck with W/B/W
Ebony binding with W/B/W purfling around top, back, and sides
Petros Perflex Dwende 1 purfling around the top with B/W/B purfling lines
EVO frets

Aaaah, that's a familiar looking workbench with all those drill holes

You'll love working with Joel. One of the most humble and nice guys I've met. And his work is just amazing

That's a stunning piece of wood! I reckon, if you can get it, you should go with the Ziricote fretboard as well. (Take a look at the Hatcher SJ build thread, he uses a Cocobolo back/sides/fretboard, the effect is beautiful)

Joel HAS been amazing to work with! Through the whole process I've felt like his friend, rather than just someone commissioning a guitar...seems like a great guy!

And yep - I REALLY like that ziricote, thanks - and we've decided to go with the ziricote fretboard as well...

More pics as Joel progresses!

Tim

Hi Tim,

Great piece of Ziricote. That's going to be one very special guitar. And you're right about Joel - he's amazing.

I look forward to watching your build.

Enjoy,
BK

I'm looking really forward to following your build as you have picked almost exactly what I would like to have Joel build for me one day.

Cool DK! What's your dream Stehr guitar? What would be different?

Yes Pete, I'm hoping this combo (along with Joel's magic), will sound as good as it will look!
