I mentioned in another thread that this book was on my Summer Reading list. Well I’m just finishing this one and think it is a great book. It tells the story of how the Cognitive Revolution 70,000 years ago, The Agriculture Revolution 12,000 years ago and the Scietific Revolution 500 years ago — affected humans and fellow organisms. It is extremely well-written and eminently interesting.

Harari's Sapiens... sounds intriguing, Paul. Thanks. I've read a lot about human evolution. Fascinating topic.

I’ve been too busy and tired lately to read much, but I hope to soon start Robbie Robertson’s book.

FWIW I read Sapiens about a year ago and did find it a fascinating read.

I'm currently reading "A Short Victorious War," the third book in the Honor Harrington series by David Weber.
I've got at least ten more books on my Kindle waiting their turn, plus a couple of re-reads. I am a voracious reader, as is my wife, and being retired makes it much easier to hunt for new books and authors.

The Soul of America - Jon Meacham. His take on periods in American history when the social fabric seemed ready to tear. It's a bit preachy and dense in the introduction, but much more readable and interesting when he gets to his forte - history.

I'm supposed to be reading The Eye of the Sandpiper, but I just received the galley proofs for my next book, so I'm being sidetracked for a week. http://www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/...80140100295150

I've read (and own) nearly all of Stephen King's books. I just started Doctor Sleep. It's part II of the Shining because it's the little kid in that book as an adult. No Spoilers please.

Just finished 'Girl With a Gun' by Kari Bovee. Author is a girl I went to high school with. It is a historically correct fiction of a young Annie Oakly and her start with Buffalo Bills Wild West Show, it's a mystery, well written and quite the page turner if your into that sort of thing. Wasn't what I expected, but was pleasantly surprised.

Me either. Maybe I should fire up the ole electronic book thing I have.
When I did read it was science fiction (a lot of Larry Niven), science - various, especially Issac Asimov's non fiction, Sherlock Holmes stories and short stories related to ghosts and whatnot.
