Default Please provide a link to the best guitar strap you ever owned.

It's hard to tell from looking online.

I bought this leather strap last year from Amazon.ca for $20. Looks like it's $82 CAD now. You may be able to find it on Amazon.com. I haven't used it much but it feels great.

They look to have discontinued it along with the link to it, but mine is an older Franklin Padded Glove Leather Strap. 2.5" wide, textured leather on both sides, with a layer of foam inside to distribute the weight over a broad area. It's the only one I've found that makes a Les Paul comfortable to play and stops it from sliding around.

Yep, for a Les Paul I need at least 2.5" for weight distribution. Padded on the shoulder helps too.

I collect straps like Imelda Marcos collects shoes.
But if I had to choose one it might be a 3" Franklin cotton

I've had a 3.5" leather strap for 35 years, still works for me. I don't know what brand it is, if it ever had markings then they are long worn off, but it looks exactly like a Levy's bass strap, http://www.levysleathers.com/shop/bass-strap-m4-brn/

I need a 3" wide strap due to shoulder injury.
I know the ideal length for me (43") so don't need it adjustable.
I like to have a Schaller straplock on the front.
I need the hole at the back to take a normal strap pin and a jack plus endpin.
I need a strap that can be folded and kept in my guitar case above the headstock.

So ....I buy strips of 3"wide leather by about 3 to 5 m/m thick and make my own. They are cheaper than most commercially made straps, take about 30 minutes to cut punch a coupe of 1/2" holes at either end and finish off, and ready to go.

Neotech Super Strap. Comfortable, understated, makes my old back and shoulders feel a little bit less so.

I know you are looking for links but ......

I got a strap from my BIL/mentor 35 years ago as a Christmas present. It's a simple single layer of black leather but it's 4 inches wide. Incredibly soft and the most comfortable strap I've ever touched.

No one makes anything like this anymore. Everyone uses multiple layers of leather which makes them stiff.

I'm using this.

https://www.amazon.com/Betty-Black-G...ar+strap&psc=1

I might prefer something that looked a little more organic, but it's pretty darn comfortable and it has a tiny pick pocket, as well, which I appreciate.

Ive got at least 6 of these Fender vintage deluxe straps (don’t bother with the felt backed ‘standard’ version. It’s a bit lame). I like skinny straps:
