Very tough to let go. I had a Goodall CJ with this wood combo and I liked the tone better than any of the other guitars I've owned (which includes Ryan, Beneteau, Tippin, Hoffman, Bresnan, Tony Vines, Berkowitz, other Lowdens, and Greenfield). Thus my purchase of this Lowden.
Wonderful tone, all the sustain you could want, clear ringing trebles, tight low end, wonderful playability. The soundboard bevel is also very comfortable. I never installed the clear pickguard (I play fingerstyle without any picks, using finger tips, not nails). The projection is very good, so I never considered a pickup. I have used Gotoh 510 locking tuners, which I can reinstall at a buyers preference. I am setup for 162 psi total string pressure, with a .06 relief, and very low 1st fret action. This guitar is very easy to fret. Wish I could still play!
