Default Finding good used CF guitars.

I'm going to buy a CF guitar ...eventually.
I've looked at some new ones. Could eventually go that route but not opposed to good used.

I've looked on ebay, reverb, and CL and here in the classifieds.

Where else might be a good source?

Based on what I've gathered so far, Im kinda leaning toward an emerald x7.

thanks

Facebook marketplace is nice because you can learn a little about who is selling the guitar. Reverb is okay, but the seller is paying to sell so price may be jacked up a bit. AGF is wonderful with great sellers. You also could try Guitar Center because they will ship it to your store (for a cost) but you can try it and decide if you like it.

I have owned 4 CF guitars, and 3 were bought here from the AGF Classifieds.
Great transactions, still have 2 of them.

Before you do anything hasty, let's clarify "clear out a few."

Finding a used CF guitar can be a stretch, but they do come up. There isn't a good central clearing house, aka CF-Guitars-R-Us. Most of us acquire, love, and keep them.

Once in a while a particular instrument won't be a good fit for someone who then moves it on. I've never actually sold a CF guitar, although there are two that are candidates at the moment (duplicates) a CA Cargo and an X7 woody pre-2018 model. I just have other things on my plate right now and have not listed either - yet.

Also consider to browse on line among the Music Go Round shops, these are local shops that are everywhere in the States and mainly sell used gear at good prices. Each store ships everywhere in the States. Not easy to find a carbon fiber, but nobody knows...

MGR is still in business? Cool. Haven't seen one in almost 20 years.

Just looked up their website. Looks like they are down to 30 locations, most east of the Rockies.

I bought a couple of nice Larrivees from them when they were still in Arizona.

Lot's of Emeralds popping in the classifieds here over the last few months. All kinds, too - X30, X20, X10 & X7's, new and old style. More and more people buying them and oftentimes it's a case of someone bought one (often a custom) and they love it but decide they want to do another custom with some slight variations.

Prices for brand new customs are on the rise as are wait times so sellers are getting good prices for them used. That and they generally hold up really well. If you know what you want you can always post a Want To Buy ad in the classifieds. Sometimes someone is on the fence and will reach out to you.
