Need string advice
I am going to Guitar Center tomorrow to get some strings for the Córdoba C9 I just got. Can someone please recommend some really good nylon strings?

D'Addario Pro Arte EJ45 is a good place to start. Reasonably priced and very consistent. It's on the low-to-medium end of the tension range.

EJ45's as stated above, and/or LaBella 2001. I really like the LaBellas on my Córdoba. Fitness1 has the C9, so maybe he'll give you some advice.

I'll probably buy 2 sets. Hopefully GC will have those.

Yet another vote for the D'Addario Pro Arte EJ45s. They have become the standard by which I judge other string sets.

Augustine Regal and Galli genius also worth a try at this price range

D'Addario Pro Arte EJ45 are very good strings...good intonation, neutral sound, inexpensive. I also really like Augustine Imperials, which are medium tension trebles, paired with their 'red' basses which are also medium tension. The Imperial trebles have a little more punch and high end clarity than the EJ45's.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but D'Addario Pro Artes, too.
I also second Stringsbymail.com for large selection, good price, fast and low-priced shipping. If you're new to synthetics you'll most likely want to replace the 3 lower bass strings more often than strings 1,2, and 3. You'll find the on-line retailers sell treble and bass sets of the 3 lower or upper strings for that exact reason. I don't know if Guitar Center has that type of specialization for the nylon-sting player. |

My La Patrie Concert came with regular tension D'Addario strings re-branded by Godin. I tried hard tension. The guitar seemed "choked." I put D'Addiaro regular tension Pro-Arte back on and intend to stick with them.
