Default What are you gassing for?

So i have been suffering the new guitar bug for a wile now and its just not going away. I have been to the music shop a few times and tried a bunch of guitars . A range of washburns ,gibson ,taylor, martin ,yamaha and seagull. Prices from $600,$900,$1700,$2500,$4500 . Mind you i could never afford a "4500 guitar. The most a disappointing guitar was the martin hd28 then the taylor 814cedxl. The gibson was nice but what really stood out was a $600 wasburn . But the killer was the martin gpcrsg? . I dont know but im hooked on that martin. Tomorrow i will have aprox $600 saved so it won't be for a bit but thankfully working my hours makes rent dirt cheap aprox $40-$100 depending on how much i work. Gotta love a part time job. So what do you guys plan to buy this year

Shop around. That guitar can be had for $1,299 almost anywhere. You might even find a better price among AGF vendors.

I have been gassing for one of these, but I keep missing locally available ones by a day or two. I hesitate to do mail order because I always notice differences between individuals of the same model, even with consistent brands like Collings. Besides, a friend of mine tells me that he experiences substantial string buzz on the WL-K, due to the extra light strings they come with (.11 - .53). I've personally not noticed that, nor have I heard it on videos, but still, it makes me hesitate.

I think I need a Gibson in my collection. I think some variation of a SJ-200.

But at this moment I've got my eye out for an '80s Bach Stradivarius model 37 trumpet. I've got a '73 model, but one of my student's dads has and 80's model that it just a dream and puts mine to shame. I'd break in and steal it if I were that kind of guy. So short of stealing it I'm going to look for one that plays like it and snatch it should it appear.

Right now, it's a 000-42. 2nd choice is a 000-28EC, or if I could find one reasonably, a rosewood Greven 000. but other than perhaps the 000-28EC, those are just pipe dreams.

Wishing you all the best!

In fact I just tried a Taylor 412CE with Ovangkol b/s a few hours ago. Pretty impressed with it but didnít develop GAS for it as it is above my budget at US$2443 (where Iím from). Should be cheaper in the US...
