Default ## 1955 Gibson J-185 ## SOLD ##

Great 1955 Gibson J-185. Just received an extensive restoration. For the complete story check out my post in the general discussion forum. This 185 plays and sounds great and has lots of mojo ! It was played weekly all over Missouri by a full time musician for over 50 years ( no relicing here that’s honest player wear )
Feel free to call for more Info and pics 314-230-6528.

Kind of a Grail guitar for me. I doubt you'll find another 50's J-185 for this price. Wish I could swing it very cool mojo on this one.

Here’s a great review and sample of the sound. I would say mine is very similar.

I’m kind of getting hooked on this vintage Gibson tone. If I play it much more I may have to keep it ! Seems like a fantastic singer songwriter guitar.

Bump and wanted to mention the pick guard was custom made by the luthier. He made it out of material that’s 1/2 the thickness of a stock Gibson guard. Thinking is the top would possibly vibrate more and project more sound.

Restoration or not, this is a crazy good deal. If I had the coin I’d jump all over this. Good luck!

You should keep it.

Not worth parting with it at this low price, IMHO.
