Default Are you going to put you stimulus check toward a new guitar?

I am, but I don't know what I want. I'll have to wait until I can start getting out to the stores again. So it will be a while.

The stimulus check will let me raise my budget so this is going to be a lot of fun!

Humm, what to get with an extra $1200 in my pocket?

I doubt the stimulus check will amount to an NGD for me, but I'll definitely put some of it into the NGF.

As usual there are a number of guitars that I would like to acquire.
However, I will be putting any stimulus checks in a savings account for my children, as they will be responsible for paying it all back, as usual.

Be thankful you can do that. There are many who need it to pay for their rent or to put food on the table.

Also remember it's dependent on income. If you make more than a certain amount of money you won't get one anyway.

Personally, in my company we have all agreed to donate a portion of what we get to the local food bank. That beats any guitar I could buy.

NTD for me.
Unfortunately, I need tires for my truck a lot more than I can justify the purchase of another guitar.

To be truthful,
I don't need another guitar.

But I did give some thought to a 6 string banjo for minute.

If you move quickly, you can probably trade a few rolls of toilet paper for the guitar of your choice. Wait too long and, yes, you will need your stimulus money instead.

I don't want to sound like a jerk. But if you are in the income bracket where you are getting the full $1200 check you may want to give a lot of thought to spending it on a guitar. Just sayin.

No, but I have a Harley Benton blue LP DC JR on order. The order predates the stimulus check announcement. I spent 8.5% of my supposed stimulus check on a glow-in-the dark Spyderco Delica. The rest will be put away.

I am putting mine in a coffee can out in the backyard until I see how this whole thing shakes out.

The way I see it, the true intention of the $1200 check being fed to us is an attempt to get us to blow it on something and put it back into the economy. So might as well be a guitar!

Common guys (and gals). You always need a new guitar and I've got 2 that require a couple posts on the classifieds very soon.

I'm inclined to agree. It's not exactly the point.

The stimulus checks are largely to stimulate the economy. Partly to help people. So spend them as you please. The main idea is for everyone to spend them. I don't need one or want one but I'm getting one. I'd buy a guitar today but the attitude I feel is that they will sell me a guitar if I really want one. A month ago they wanted to sell guitars.
