Default String recommendation for 1950 Martin 00-18

The D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze ones that came on my 1950 Martin 00-18 a month ago are almost ready to change. I've been playing and enjoying it so much, that my other guitars haven gotten much attention. I've used Santa Cruz Parabolic low tension strings on my Taylor acoustic and Martin SW00-DB with good results. The Martin website recommends Authentic Acoustic Lifespan® 2.0 Light - 92/8 Phosphor Bronze strings for the current14 fret 00-18 model. I would really appreciate advice on what to try next. Thanks in advance!

I have like Martin SPs and John Pearse PBs on my 1960s 00-18. I've tried Retros and didn't like them on that guitar. The SPs have been my favorite on the 00-18. But overall my favorite strings, which are on my Martin Modern Deluxe right now, are the D'Addario EXP16s.

To be period correct, try some Black Diamonds with a little light rust on the unwound trebles.

I like this ^ but if you can't find the strings, I suggest a set of light gauge Martin Retro Strings.
