Default Rainsong without electronics?

Is it possible to order a rainsong, say either their jumbo six or twelve strings without electronics and how much that might lower the price?

It's definitely possible to order them without electronics. I don't know how that affects the price, though.

When I am in the market for a 12 string I will be considering a Rainsong but have no desire for electronics. With electronics I find them around $2,300 so I would hope without electronics it would put the price below 2K.

That's probably being a bit optimistic, in that all of the pricing I have seen for CF guitars only drops the price $100 for the non-electric versions.

That little huh? Maybe I am being too optimistic!

Comparing Ted's posted prices on each shows about $150 difference. I bought my S-OM1100N2 because I just don't like barndoor electronics and have found that I infrequently use an acoustic pickup/amp when I've had them...

I guess that's not too bad then. I don't mind electronics per se. I find them to be a necessary evil at times but I just detest barn door electronics. I would have a K&K mini installed if I need one.

I ordered a Hybrid WS1100N2 this summer, 1100 designates no electronics compared to the 1000N2 that has electronics. I also don't like the barn door (or UST's for that matter) and after a bit of research decided on the MiniFlex 2mic which I installed myself and have been loving it ever since.

I have a Rainsong AWS 1000 with the Fishman Prefix Plus T electronics. There are sliders for bass, contour, treble and brilliance. There is a notch filter and phase switch. There is a frequency slider that works in conjunction with contour slider. Finally, there is a tuner. It's a good sounding pickup/preamp system that has options for different situations.
