What kind of music do you play? And is this intended to be a gigging guitar?

A K&K trinity will be great choice. I installed many over the years and still use some in my guitars.

I think that would be an excellent choice. I have the basic Pure Mini in my Guild D35 and our two Furch OMs. The added air/ambience from the microphone would make it a great system for your (Martin) D35. The joy of the mic is that you can dial in as much as you want, and take it down again if playing on noisy stages.

Good luck.
I have said this in other threads here and there.... but I have guitars now (and in the past) with K&K Minis, Baggs Element VTCs, as well as Baggs M1s. I do gig. My best live sound is a Baggs M1 soundhole pickup, through a Baggs Venue DI preamp. The VTC sounds pretty darn good through that as well. My K&K equipped guitar is kind of hard to tame in loud bars. The Fire Eye Red eye seems to work best as a standalone. My music isnt beautiful as a caveat... Its yacht rock acoustic rock sing alongs where patrons think we sound better and better the more they drink.... |
