Why are you saying that the top is laminate? Seems to be the only thing that ISN'T wrong with that one, to my eye...

Such robust cracks I'm guessing would travel much farther in a solid top. Not going to give it a try to make sure.

They had a guitar at GC they described as "Vintage." My reaction was "That's not 'Vintage' that's just 'Old'."

Yeah it's solid but it's junk. In flawless condition it's worth abut what they are asking. They never did have a reputation for sounding very good.

"Surface cracks"??? Did Gibson always screw the bridge onto the soundboard, or was that a unique feature to the custom bridge that this particular guitar has? Are the screws "surface screws" that don't go all the way into the soundboard? Next time I need to sell something, I'm having this seller write the ad for me!

Note: I'm pretty sure the "laminate top" reference in the OP is because this looks like a laminate floor now that the solid top has all those "surface cracks" in it...well played, Bax, well played.

If you look closely at the shot of the end of the soundboard, one of those cracks clearly goes through and looks to have been glued. Two of the cracks seem to originate from the screws that are holding down the bridge. Plus I can't even imagine how all those scratches got in the soundboard... that took effort.

Loved the reference to the "vintage chipboard case".

I would walk the other way.

Guys be fair. Those are surface cracks. They are also disasterous, poorly repaired all-the-way-through cracks. But they're also surface cracks.

But seriously the wood screws through the apparently unglued bridge mean this thing is a basket case
