I almost never snack, but when I do it's ice cream, because why waste calories on stuff that lacks a bliss point.

Peanuts. We're afloat in them around here.

Pork rinds. O.K. maybe they aren’t so healthy, but everyone who eats carrots is going to die too. 😱

I don't eat a lot of healthy snacks but I do eat a few pistachios most nights. Other times cashews.

I'm a boring snacker. I'm an apple or banana kind of guy, something portable I can eat whenever.

I also love beef jerky, but that ain't on the healthy side of the spectrum, I suppose!

Actually I eat none of that stuff anymore, sad but true
I also do not snack any more , about the only thing close is when entertaining dinner guests we sometimes have sliced raw veggies and hummus.

I miss the old "food pyramid" thing, I finally got the hang of it and worked my way up near the top, you know the beer/pizza/ice cream area. Then all of a sudden they started the bale of hay/hummus/green stuff thing and I was put out in the cold again.

"That stuff ain't food.........that's what food eats!"

I eat junk and semi-junk. Some days lunch for me is commercial "healthy" yoghurt which is really more like above-freezing-temp ice cream if you look at it. Even though I drink my tea without any sweetener, I like my yoghurt sweetened.

I like nuts, but it's easy to stuff in a lot of calories with them.

Probably my healthiest snack is roasted vegetables. Cauliflower, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, carrots, just about anything. Spray'em or brush'em with olive oil, maybe a bit of salt and roast'em on a cookie sheet in the oven.

Cauliflower and Brussel sprouts are probably my two favorites. The roasting tames the bitter in Brussel sprouts a bit (which makes then more acceptable to some who don't like bitter tastes), and the cauliflower is tastier than popcorn for me. Just like popcorn you can try different flavorings too.

Not made at home, but I just got back from a bike ride to a restaurant with my wife where we had roasted cauliflower off their menu with tahini, humus and a sprinkling of some middle-eastern spice. Tasty!

Oreos , ice cream , pie , cake ....
Just remember . You never know when it will happen and it will , but the only thing you get to take with you is what's in your stomach , so make it something you like .
I call that healthy living .
