Zoom H4n! When I use external mics, they just plug directly into the H4n (there's no digital input) Take the SD card out and transfer the wav files directly to Logic for mixing. This isn't what I do for audio recording in my studio, like the CD I'm working on, but for video where I'm not in the studio, I just use the Zoom.
