Wow, some beautiful archtops on this thread. Here's the guitar I learned to play with. Still plays great. I had a Fralin floating pickup added a few years ago. It's a '58 Gretsch New Yorker. My Dad bought it used for me to take lessons when I was 13.

Dangerine.....what are the specs/woods on that Gretsch of yours? What is the nut width??? Thanks

The New Yorker is Gretsch Model 6050 with a 16" wide body, spruce top and maple back and sides. I don't know about nut width, I would have to measure.

I build this little archtop guitar for my dad few years ago.

European Flamed maple with western red ceder top, cocobolo fretboard and honduran rosewood tailpiece and bridge. french polish finish
