Default Norwegian Wood on a 1934 Gibson L-00

Hello Forum Friends,

This excellent 1934 Gibson L-00 is the tenth guitar in the '52 Guitars in One Year' series. Playing music on a guitar, born in the same year as my father, added a unique feeling to this recording.

Best,

Tom

Very cool version Tom. Reminds me of a Vince Guaraldi inspired version, and THAT'S a real good thing.
Cool L-00 too.

The last couple of weeks I had been revisiting this song, something I played many years ago, and thought my version was somewhat unique. Well, you my friend, have taken this Beatles classic to new heights. I love the jazz spin you slather on, on top of the beat, changing the delivery to so much of your own personality. Really nicely done. You did that song Justice!

Tom that was excellent! The seamless incorporation of harmonics was a great touch, really well done!

Thank you so much, Frank!! I think the instrument suggested most of the arrangement. I just had to let it out somehow. The whole thing was natural usually I spend quite some time finding out how to interpret a song, but this was just two days from the first idea to the final recording. Now I'm really thinking about how to get an L-00 to myself.

Best,

Tom
