Default Anyone get a big discount for multiple purchases online at big box store?

If I call Musician's Friend / Guitar Center / Sweetwater and ask them for a 20% discount if I buy a guitar, bass, and amp, for a total value of about $1000, which of the below responses is most likely?:

#1) "Yes, if you buy all three, then we'll give you a 20% discount".

#2) "Wait, you want a 20% discount on not one product, but three--you must be joking!"

#3) Some variation of, "If you buy the ___ at full price, then we'll give you n% discount on the others.

#4) Similar to 3, "No, but we'll give you 10% on the whole thing", or

#5) "No, but we'll give you 15% on the whole thing".

#6) All of the above, as in, starting with "You're joking", then gradually yielding, possibly up to the desired #1

#7) Other ___________________________

Have any of you ever tried fishing for a discount like this?

Thanks!

#6 - the only place I've ever been able to wangle a real package deal is when our band went to Sam Ash in person, and bought a healthy four-figure load of stuff...

It seems that if you have a particular rep you order from at Musician's Friend they seem to be able to give you some deal, even on items that are not on a special. If you just call the number, you may or may not get someone who can work a better price. I'm not sure you can wrangle 20%, but you never know until you try. I think you may be more likely to get a discount talking to someone in person, especially a manager type. Good luck!

I was hoping for some votes for response #1 before trying it.

I would guess #5 unless you're trying to strike a deal in mid-December. While I appreciate the way that Sweetwater displays pix of the actual guitars, I've also found them to be the tightest in regard to discounts...

I have a rep I deal with at MF, and he's usually able to offer some sort of discount. The last one was on a new 2018 Gibson L-00 that was already marked down on their web site. He gave me a 15% discount without hesitation, and I was able to use some MF points I had to get the cost lower still. Your specific situation will depend on many sales factors that are beyond my business knowledge, but it's worth you calling one or all of the big box places to see what can happen. I'd guess your answer is #1, #5 or somewhere in between.
