Easy. The sound guy tells me what to do and I say "Okay"... Yeah... Not a good approach but I've been using it for 30 some odd years

Honestly, I think I'd prefer that, at least for this first deal, but if he can't I better be able to. I'm prepping for the possible scenario that the sound guy chooses a more hands-off role.

I'll find out on Friday.

Those that are suggesting loopers, how do you handle vocals? Or do you have that going through the looper too?

Drums were not amplified and only vocals going through the PA.

It was enough to half empty the pub. In truth those punters would have left anyway when they started their first set 30 mins later. But the pub owner just saw a loss of beer takings.

They were/are a good band if you like Deep Purple, Sabbath, Zeppelin etc.

I just go for a full, crisp sound with some 'verb, and I can hear that from the stage. The guitar tends to be a bit more problematic out in the room.
