For our acoustic duo? The singer mic and my guitar plug straight into my Schertler Unico. Sounds great and nothing else needed.

My current rig (designed for solo fingerstyle guitar) is pretty much the same as I set it up over 15 years ago:
Tippin OMT with PUTW #54 and a modded external Oktava MC-012 condenser mic with hypercardioid capsule. Connected to a Pendulum SPS-1 via the Pendulum pickup/mic preamp module. With a TC Electronic M3000 stereo effects unit patched into the SPS-1's effects loop. With the main stereo outputs of the SPS-1 connected to a Bryston 3B-SST dual mono power amplifier. With the Bryston outputs sent to a pair of Daedalus W803 passive three-way speakers on sticks. After all these years, I see no reason to change this setup. |

Ahh, the Pendulum SPS-1 Daedalus combo. Don't hear these talked about much anymore. I got tired of dealing with the rack and time dialing in and then it would sound marginal out in the house of a crappy system. Lowest common denominator. I gave up and settled for easy. But I think it is the most user friendly, easiest and still hi fidelity set-up I have owned. At least the results I am getting now I would love to go back and compare with my Pendulum set-up. I think it would be close but the ease would win out for me.

I believe you're fudging a bit here, NO1 . . . . . you must have a couple of stands to carry.

I will say that since adding the battery to the S1, the weight has increased from just under 15 pounds to just over 15 pounds. My back is killing me but the extra heft is worth the freedom from wall power. |

Apparently that's the only gear you're asking about. I use this clip-on DPA guitar mic on my acoustic. It's so accurate that needs no pedals to make it sound natural. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...lip-for-guitar Last edited by Tico; 05-22-2018 at 05:46 PM. |

It takes a few seconds to move this $619 DPA clip-on mic to another guitar. Add up what 9 nice pickups cost, plus installation. It's nice none of my guitars need to have a hole drilled into them. And IMO no pick up sounds this accurate. I've paid a fortune for fine guitars. Now they sound as good amplified at they do acoustically ... only louder. So, not ouch. |

Even pricier than the predecessor Rather pay less for a regular sized mic on a stand. If there is one with the same performance. |

Most often it's:
Dreadnaut w/K&K > BOSS DM-2 Analog Delay > BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus > Fishman Mini or Fishman Performer amp. Also use my BOSS RV-3 Digital Reverb/Delay pedal alot. |
