Want To Buy: OM Body size, $1000 or under

I am looking for an OM or similar body size guitar for general purposes, not necessarily gigging. I use my Martin HD-28 for that. I would like a 1.75 or
1 11/16 nut width. Don't want anything that has been repaired or needs repair. No cracks or large divits please. Mahogany is preferable to EIR but Maple back and sides is ok too. This will be used mostly for flatpicking.

I think it’s hard to justify not going with that Breedlove. Not sure where you find a better OM under $1k.

Yup you’re pretty much Breedlove, Larrivee or a taylor 314 or 312 or gc3.

or OM-16GT, OM-15, 000-16M, 000 MMV, Eastman, Taylor, Breedlove, etc... there are perhaps dozens that fit this category and of course the doors really open up with higher end Blueridge and Recording king guitars.

I have reviewed all guitars suggested to me and still looking. No, I am not that picky but still after the 'one'. Size has to be OM size or similar but not as large as dreadnaught or jumbo and not as small as 000 or parlor.
I am hoping to keep the price under $1000.

[emoji19]You don’t find “the one” on the Internet. You go out and put your hands on examples listed here and you select the guitar you like

And FYI- 14 fret 000 martins are pretty much short scale OMs. This is true for most tradition builders.

I only play guitars in this category and you have some of the best sub $1000 suggestions available

000-16M from 88-94 has more in common with an OM-18 Design then anything else, best $1K you could spend. WIsh I had one to sell you, i have had 3 but cant play the 1-11/16 nut otherwise i would have the collection of 16's from that era (again)

Saved some money and bought a Alvarez Professional PF90 SC built in 1998 and in excellent shape. It has that amazing on board system for pickups but its a dual source with a mic, and has three band eq, notch, tuner, blend with mic, and more. I played one before that had this and it sounded better than any guitar I have ever played.
So thank you to all who helped me decide on this one. I got some nice recommendations and any would have made me happy. This one fell into my lap and feels right. We will see once it arrives.
