Martin D41
Hi all. Last night my uncle who is my musical hero gifted me with an absolutely beautiful 1998 Martin D41. I play in an Americana group. I'm a very percussive strummer/player. My current guitar is a Breedlove which has an LR baggs in it. I also use a Countryman Type 85 DI, then directly into our P.A. I know that there are a lot of options when it comes to pickups, but looking for some opinions. Thanks all..

Been researching. Thinking that the LR Baggs Anthem might do the trick.

I am sorry I didnt see this sooner...
My gigging partner has a D41. I had a Baggs Element VTC lying around, and gave it to him, and he had it installed. I think it has a great live sound. These are great pickups. I know you have the M80 (a great option as well - tweak the pole heights), but I add my 2 cents in case someone new searches and sees this thread.

The m80 has become my main gigging pickup . Installed in a 71 d28s.
It sounds good no matter what i plug it into. plus it's so easy to remove and put in another guitar .... good choice ..and congrats on the d41. you have a pretty cool uncle... Last edited by varmonter; 08-14-2018 at 06:56 AM. |
