Default Jazz archtop question

Anyone know what the very smoothest flat wound jazz guitar strings are or any recommendations. Also views on size/thickness of picks to get that classic jazz tone like Kenny Burrell et al

I dont know about smoothest or not but for jazz guitar you cant go wrong with Thomastik. I've used rounds and flats to great effect.

Flatwounds. D'Addairo Chrome are an easy to find starting point. Thomastik-Infield also makes a highly thought of flatwound.

Try a pick at least 1.5mm thick. I love D'Andrea Pro plecs.

Seems kind of like the sort of question that might have been posted in the "Archtops" section.

Thomastik Infeld flats. Pricey for guitar strings, but they have lower tension per diameter and I like their sound on my electric archthop (DeArmond X-155).

Love their electric bass sting too.
