Default Songs like freight train

So I’ve mastered Freight Train and that style of Travis / Cotten picking. I would like some recommendations for songs in that vein. My goal is to build a repertoire of at least 5-10 songs in that same vein. Folk/old country/blues type pieces. Any recommendations welcome thanks!

I have free tabs (and midis if you want to listen to that) on my website of arrangements and originals including my arrangement of "Freight Train". Possibly something there would be of interest.

How about Deep river blues.

Mississippi John Hurt has lots:

And compare his version of Pallet with Sam Chatmon's:

Here's an easy one in open D (capo 2):

If you want something more challenging, there's Blind Blake:

I love that E to F change in Freight Train - here's another one where it crops up:

Steve McWilliams' site has tons of free tab/notation. Beginner, intermediate and advanced. You'll need to download the free version of Tabledit notational software to access and I can vouch that Tabledit contains no malware and/or spyware.

As far as Travis style goes, I can recommend the following. Some may take you weeks and some may take months minimum depending on your experience:

Cannonball Rag
Guitar Rag
Saturday Night Shuffle

Get a copy (Ha! showing my age...I meant stream) of Mississippi John Hurt's 1928 Sessions and ANY song on there is a timeless classic of fingerpicking. Mostly Peidmont, alternating thumb style, but easily arranged in any style you prefer.

Wow that's a cool interface for learning songs. Definitely going to use that!

My Creole Belle. Very similar in style to Freight Train.
