Default This guy is so "refreshing".

Eric Skye (min7b5) had posted this video in the recording forum as an example of good mic placement. I'm posting it here as an example of sheer acoustic beauty. Jefferson Hamer is the name and well worth looking at his work if you're not familiar yet.

Yes, the solo guitar and vocal is very nice. Here's an example of a live video from a studio recording session that kicks it up a notch.

great singer songwriter. There's another small lesson here....recording studio doesn't add anything to his impact. The machineshop song is excellent. Listening I would have guessed he was west coast....wrong again. Shows how much buried by the system talent is out there waiting to be heard. thanks
