I'll be there too. I don't know much about her yet but Margo Price is opening for him.

Cool on Margo. Just found out about her recently. Very good pairing. Generous of John to give her that spotlight.
Enjoy the Show! scott |

Took my wife to JP's show in Cincy last night. Her first time and my first in over 30 years...Tyler Childers opened.
I don't know how the concert could have been any better...he looked and sounded like he was having the time of his life. Brought his wife and Childers out to close the show w/"Paradise'... Among the jokes he cracked was, "Thank God for capos, otherwise all the songs would be in 'G'"... Going to Columbus in September to see him again; if you get a chance, don't miss him! |

He is on my list of people to see. If he steps foot on a stage in Texas, I believe I am going. It would be my first time to see him.

See him, folks, before he retires. I can't imagine him doing this too much longer. He only did one show in L.A. this time around and I couldn't break off any time to go see him.
I was fortunate to recently share a cup of coffee with his lead guitar player Jason Wilbur. Jason is excellent and has been with John for over twenty years. As the OP here, it's so great to hear from other Prine fans. scott memmer |

Bone, that is so cool, man.
We saw him a couple years ago, from the second row, and so many of us had tears in our eyes -- of either sorrow or laughter, and sometimes both at the same time. scott memmer |

Of the many little miracles to be found on his albums I'm especially in awe of Lake Marie. We gotta go now.

Nothing really to add. It's all been said. "Everything is cool."

I saw this concert hit my e-mail feed and jumped on 4 first row tickets for this show. I last saw him in Dallas in 1973 at the Majestic Theater in front of maybe 75 people.
"Blow up your TV's, throw away your paper, go to the country, build you a home. Plant a little garden, eat a lot of peaches, and try to find Jesus, on your own". Can't wait !

"There was four Italian sausages cooking on the outdoor grill and, man, they was ssssssssizzlin'!"
No Red Rocks show for John this year, so I have to wait until November when he comes to Breckenridge. Almost 10,000 feet high. Wonder if he's ever sung at that altitude before. Here's a 30+ minute interview that was posted yesterday where he talks about all sorts of stuff.
