Cool GA body size comparison video
Came across this video since I was curious about the GP28E vs the Taylor 814ce. Video is is mandarin, but the A,B,C and reveal have English text.
If like me you don't understand Mandarin, or just want to skip to the sound, it starts at about 2:46. I think this link should work to go straight to the music since the embed seems to start at the beginning: https://youtu.be/R87TBN8acXY?t=206 Curious what everyone thinks ... I was actually quite surprised with my own answer (I liked the Eastman best). Last edited by strumbringer; 06-23-2020 at 09:49 AM. |

Watched this before and I could tell which was which. The Martin is the easiest one. Then the Taylor has more depth and sparkle treble. The guild is very similar to taylor. It a bit more punchy and less crisp in the bass and less sparkle in treble. Taylor is more overtone. I prefer the Taylor but today probably isn’t that, kinda give me headache so the Martin would be calmer and warmer. I like all of them

It's funny as I wasn't sure, but my ear guessed what I would of guess from the headstock.
I didn't like the Martin at all, which is what I've found in real-life playing. The Taylor had a great shimmer to it, but I was surprised at the Eastman was probably my favorite. |

Very well done video.
Different ears here. I liked the Martin best by far, then Eastman and couldn't stand the Taylor. It sounds scratchy to me. But the Taylor won the beauty contest here. :-) |

It depended on the clip. I went back and forth on the one I liked best. But overall I would choose the Taylor.
