Fair enough. I’ve only got 4.5 decades under my belt. Perhaps that is the difference ;-0

Well, as someone said, there are plenty more fine Guilds out there for sale. And less risky.

I don't usually, but I actually took a big risk when I bought my 2018 Guild F512 off ebay. These things usually go for up above $3,000, and this one started at $1,400. The description told the story though. There were two bad gouges on the edge of the top, through the finish, and they were pictured. The risk was, the seller identified it as "for parts or not working." Of course I questioned the seller, but he said it was packaged up and he couldn't tell me any more about it.

I took a chance and no one else bid. The two gouges were the only thing wrong with it - otherwise it was like new. I had the gouges professionally repaired for $100 - it's almost like they were never there. Sigh of relief... and ecstasy!
